How to Hide Folder in Windows

Folder hiding process (trick) is really an interesting process in order to hide your data. You can easily hide your folder in windows operating system and you can hide your folder in two different ways as based on you.

First way is to select that folder which you want to hide and then, right click from your mouse on that folder. After right click, a list will appear as just click on properties and select check-box named ‘hidden’ in order to hide that folder and click on OK button.

Once close that wizard or change your location and again enter that location or wizard as you would found that your folder is hidden. In this way, you can hide folder.

If you want to unhidden that folder then, you need is to go to- Start -> Control Panel -> Appearance and Themes -> Folder Options.

After click on Folder Options as you will get folder options wizard then, click on view menu and select check-box named ‘show hidden files and folders’ and click on OK button in-order to unhidden.

Now, check that folder as it is unhidden. In this way, you can unhidden that folder.

Second way is unique and perfect in order to hide as select that folder which you want to hide and then, right click from your mouse on that folder. After right click, a list will appear as just click on properties.

After click on properties, properties wizard will appear then, click on View – Customize – Change Icon. Then, Change Icon wizard will appear as choose blank or we can say that hide icon in order to hide that folder and click on OK - Apply – OK button.

Now, time to hide folder name as for this go to- Start -> Run and there enter ‘charmap’ and click on ok button.

Then, Character Map wizard will appear as there, select empty character and copy that character and close that wizard.

Now, right click on that folder and click on ‘rename’ as paste (Ctrl+V) that empty character. Finally, your whole folder is successfully hidden. If you want to unhidden that folder then, just reverse this process in order to unhidden.
