Folder hiding process (trick) is really an interesting process in order to hide your data. You can easily hide your folder in windows operating system and you can hide your folder in two different ways as based on you.

First way is to select that folder which you want to hide and then, right click from your mouse on that folder. After right click, a list will appear as just click on properties and select check-box named ‘hidden’ in order to hide that folder and click on OK button.

Once close that wizard or change your location and again enter that location or wizard as you would found that your folder is hidden. In this way, you can hide folder.

If you want to unhidden that folder then, you need is to go to- Start -> Control Panel -> Appearance and Themes -> Folder Options.

After click on Folder Options as you will get folder options wizard then, click on view menu and select check-box named ‘show hidden files and folders’ and click on OK button in-order to unhidden.

Now, check that folder as it is unhidden. In this way, you can unhidden that folder.

Second way is unique and perfect in order to hide as select that folder which you want to hide and then, right click from your mouse on that folder. After right click, a list will appear as just click on properties.

After click on properties, properties wizard will appear then, click on View – Customize – Change Icon. Then, Change Icon wizard will appear as choose blank or we can say that hide icon in order to hide that folder and click on OK - Apply – OK button.

Now, time to hide folder name as for this go to- Start -> Run and there enter ‘charmap’ and click on ok button.

Then, Character Map wizard will appear as there, select empty character and copy that character and close that wizard.

Now, right click on that folder and click on ‘rename’ as paste (Ctrl+V) that empty character. Finally, your whole folder is successfully hidden. If you want to unhidden that folder then, just reverse this process in order to unhidden.

In windows operating system, we can also protect our Microsoft Office document files easily with the help of password. But, note that- you can only give password in Microsoft Office 2003. You couldn’t give password in MS Office 2007 or latest.

So, in order to protect your MS Office document files via password as firstly open your document’s file (Word file or Excel file or PowerPoint file etc.). Then, write in your file (what do you want? based on your need) and after completed, just save it (Ctrl+S). 

Now, the main step is how to give password in it? So, in order to give password in document files (MS Office 2003), first go to- Tools (ALT+T) and then, Click on options. After Click, you would get options wizard as then, Click on security and there enter your password (based on you).  

There are two password fields are present as one is for password to open file and second for password to modify file. If you don’t know second password then, you can only open file in read mode (file only to read) and if you also don’t know first password then, you can’t open file. There are some more extra things are present (on options security wizard) in order to secure your document as based on you. Finally, click on Ok button and your settings would remain. You can also remove that passwords as all you need is to again go to- Options Security Wizard and there delete that passwords and Click on Ok button. Now, your passwords are removed. You can delete first or second or both passwords.

In Windows Operating System, you can easily hide all disk partitions or selected partitions. In order to do hide, all you need is to learn some simple commands. You can hide any partition (based on you) with the help of command prompt. As in this tutorial, I am using Windows XP operating system for this process. So in order to hide disk partitions, just go to: Start Menu and click on Run for Run Wizard. Then, type in Run wizard- “cmd” and click on “OK” button as you would get command prompt wizard. In order to get command wizard, you need to do as- 

Now in command prompt, type- “diskpart” and press ‘enter’ key as after this you will be in disk partitions. Then, type “list volume” and press ‘enter key’ from your key-board as through this command, you will get the list of all partitions which are created in your hard disk. With the help of “list volume”, you will get full details of each partition as what is its real size, which letter is assigned to it, what are its volume (volume number) and many more. 

Now the next step is to select your desired partition (which you want to hide) with the help of command- “select volume letter or number”. Use of ‘select’ command is the way to select particular partition and with ‘select’ command, you also need to type- volume and number or letter (which is assigned to that partition). In this way, you can select a particular partition. Now, use ‘remove’ command in order to hide that partition. Type, “remove letter E” in order to remove ‘E’ letter partition. You can hide any partition based on letter which is assigned to that partition. After removed, press 'exit' from your keyboard in command prompt (to leave diskpart). You can check in "My computer" as partition is removed.  

Through above process, you can easily hide any partition in your computer. Now, if you want to unhide (show) partition then, all you need is to replace as use ‘assign’ command instead of ‘replace’ command in order to unhide any partition. Note that- use ‘select’ command as “select volume number”. After it, type “assign letter E” in order to unhide (show) ‘E’ letter partition. You can unhide any partition based on letter which is assigned to that partition. After assigned, press 'exit' from your keyboard in command prompt (to leave diskpart). You can check in "My computer" as partition is unhided.
